The 1960s were an important decade in wine marketing business. Robert Mondavi set a new milestone in world history when he founded his wine cellar in Oakville in 1966 and with his determination to reach premium quality. Only two years later, Janez Isteniè made his first bottle of sparkling wine through classical method in Stara vas na Bizeljskem in Slovenia. He named it after his daughter Barbara who was born in that same year. Striving for premium quality, Janez Isteniè followed Robert Mondavi. In those times, the general flow was different, though.
